As many of you know, I'm having a horrible year so far. I've hunted 7 times this year and still have not even seen a single deer. So tonight, my buddy gave me directions to his treestand on state land. He's killed several nice bucks in this area, and sees lots of deer. I left feeling pretty confident despite 30 mph winds.

So I sit all night and of course, don't see a hair. 0 sightings in 2007 so far.

Now get this- I called my dad on the drive home. It turns out he sat in my ladder stand tonight and saw 12 deer, all within bow range. Aint' that somethin?

I'm just glad the deer are back. Things are looking up, but that did sting a little.....

I feel your pain.

When the heat hasn't been too much to bear and I made it to a stand,the crop rotation has me going crazy.


I have had 1 MATURE doe with 2 fawns in shooting range this year and that is it.Did have a small buck at the H&H get together but it wasn't even a leagl shooter.


I am finding some new spots on my current landI hunt that looks promising but I am going to wait untill after guns season to persue them becuase of other hunters in the areas.

It'll just make that first one that much sweeter!

I don't feel "down" anymore. It's nice to know the deer are there.

Ah, yes, deer stand roulette. I've played it many times.
