Iam heading out 2morrow on a solo hunt.I have went solo before but only 5 or 6 times. I usually hunt with my dad. But he had some tests done for a surgery and can not hunt this weekend so i am solo. Hoping to put one down but i will have to wait and see. Hopefully i can get a good shot a this nice cemetrical 10 point we have running our wodds, but i would settle for a doe. So just wish me luck as i head out in the morning to hopefully fill a tag. Good luck to all the others who are heading out and be safe.

Be carefull......I have had some crazy things happen to me when I flew solo. I have fallen out of a tree but luckily nothing happend to me on that occassion. Keep you cell phone on you at all times if you need it easily! GOOD LUCK and be safe

The only reason i don't go solo that much is because i usually hunt private land and the land owner only wants me to hunt when i'm with my dad so i have to abide by her rules so i don't lose the property. But for the reasons of the tests and surgery she is going to let me hunt solo on her property now so that is a good thing. Usually when i hunt solo it is on public land in 1 of 4 spots which my hunting buddies know about and if i don't return, then they know where to look. Also my solo hunts are usually late in the season because that is when i make the long hikes for the big bucks and nobody wants to walk that far so i goit alone. so again be safe and good luck.

Alright here it is 4:51 am and i am ready to head out the door. Got the truck packed and i am going to my property a couple miles away. I will keep you posted on how well i do as soon as i get home.
