Well fellas...I'm heading out the door to make my 40 mile commute to my favorite property. I'm feeling lucky. I think I have pin pointed one of the bucks' travel routes. I'll have pics when I get back.

Well, just got back in. Boy...it was windy this evening.

I saw a gang of hens and one had a nice beard. About 6:00 I had a doe and a spike come in about 40 yards. The doe left but the spike hung around for a while eating acorns. Clouds started rolling in around 6:45 and I climb down the tree without spooking him. I pack up in the rain and decide to stalk him. I get about 18 yards or so from him and then we have a staring contest. I get tired of the "frozen" stance and just stand up. Of course, he takes off.

Free education on me tonight.

I'm starting to wonder about some of these deer or even my scent control. The doe I got last week was downwind from me. This little spike tonight was downwind of me with gusty constant winds. Guess I'm doing something right or they're not totally with it.

Theres a couple big boys in there I'm after. They are sneaky but I'll get 'em.
