How far are you driving, roundtrip, when you bowhunt?

I'm driving about 57 miles roundtrip everytime I want to bowhunt. To me this seems like a lot, but that's where my land is. So unless I want to buy a license and hunt the National Forest, this is what I gotta do[:'(]. Just curious to see what all of you are going through, in terms of mileage, driving time and cost. I figure that everytime I go hunting it's costing me just under $8 in gas. It takes me about 35 minutes one way also.

That is funny. That isn't far at all. I have to drive 180 miles each way. Costs me about $120 in gas.

28 miles each way isn't far at all. LOL.

All depends. I own land 50 miles from me in Texas, and land 13 hours from me in Louisiana. Needless to say, i have not hunted my land in Louisianna in over 20 years. I also have a lease about 90 miles away, and a stretch of land that buddies have at 45 miles and 120 miles away.

Closest spot 8 miles round trip.

Next closest spot 32 miles round trip.

Furthest spot 360 miles round trip.

Of course, the best hunting is always the furthest drive....[&:]

My weekends consist of driving 225 miles to camp in PA on Friday night, hunting all day Saturday and then hopping back in the car to drive to my buddies camp in NY which is roughly 125 miles drive. Then when I'm done at his place on Sunday I drive roughly 100 miles home. I end up putting just about 500 miles roundtrip on the car every weekend. It's tough with all the driving but I'm yet to find better hunting in the northeast outside of these two spots.

I walk about 300 yards from the house. Occasionally a little further. Once in a while, I drive five miles to the state park. (I get to use THEIR tag.)
