? Deer in field at quiting time. How do you leave?
 

You are in your stand on a field and it is quiting time. There are deer within shooting distance, but nothing you want to take. Do you sit there till they are gone or do you spoke them off so you can leave? If you spoke them, how do you do it without letting them know you are a human?

Thats a tough one. More than likely those deer will be there for a while. Any other way you can get out without spooking them?

Start blowing like they do when they sense danger. 4 or 5 ought to do it....

I've tried the barking method a few times....and I'm amazed at what they'll put up with. I've had 'em just raise their heads and stand there when I've done this.....and I've had them scatter.

The guy who owns the horse pasture I hunt near.....I've seen him come out of his house and clap....and they go scattering. That's what I do, now. It seems to work.

I have started to "stobe" my flashlight at them and they just walked off. No blowing or fussing. It's worked so far.

If you have a turkey diaphram you can, by blowing it really hard, create a coyote howl, that seems to work.

She knows what it means, and I sit back and wait for them to leave. I never, never, never, never,never and never did I say never Give my position away;) It's the deer I do not see that worries me, and making any noise my tip him off.

i tried barking it usely dont work for me, neither does claping. they just look up then continue eating. ive even started talkin and they wouldn't leave, fliped the safty off the 270 and they run like john force at the finish line. sometimes you can throw rocks next to them at the leaves and it will spook them
