I've waited (up to 2 hours)...Called my buddy and had him ride his 4 wheeler through...Hit them with the MagLite (illegal in some areas)...Squalled on the jack rabbit call and the fawn bleat, yelled at them....I've even taken my hat off and thrown it at them...

Newest way.....Bought a slingshot a few weeks back, have some .490 round balls that I shoot in my flintlock...Figure this might be fun....I've been thinking about buying a paintball gun as well....:D

Funny thing, seems if I unnock my arrow and tick it against the metal on the tree stand, that spooks them.....

I usually take my back pack (empty any breakable contents) and throw it on the ground. Usually gets the job done...although I had two small does (two years ago) that heard that then bedded down 20 yards from my stand. Nice, huh?

That's a very simple question, it happens to me ALL the time when leaving my stand after dark. Simply turn your flashlight on or a head lamp and start gathering up your belongings in your stand and start descending down your tree. They will scatter without alarming them. I have done it many times and the same deer come right back. Think about this, why doesn't a deer get scared when spotlighted? Why doesn't the "flash" on your trail camera spook the deer? They will come back to the same place once you get out of your stand. The "light" works everytime.

Bingo. Also snort real hard as soon as it hits the ground. Two nights ago I trew my water bottle at them and when it smacked the ground, snorted hard. They took off like a bat...

She knows what it means, and I sit back and wait for them to leave. I never, never, never, never, never and never did I say never Give my position away;) It's the deer I do not see that worries me, and making any noise my tip him off.

If it's dark and there are multiple deer around. How do you know when they all leave? How do you know more aren't coming down the trail?

You may be able to hear them, I understand, but occasionally they may stand quiet, yeah??
Thanks

They know Germ just wants to spoon and cuddle, so they don't get to alarmed:D

Climb down and don't worry about. Seriously. Anything you do outside of sitting there all night won't do any good. How are you going to know where they are anyway? It's dark.
