A super sharp one, with a good tuned bow.

RE: 85 gr. broadhead
something that is cut on contact, like the old fred bear broadheads.

RE: 85 gr. broadhead
When I first started bowhunting with a 45-50# bow, I was using a Satelitte cut on contact head. I used the 100 grain ones, but did not put on the 2 additional blades. Killed 5 deer using this setup.

RE: 85 gr. broadhead
Just becuase your only pulling 50lbs doesn't mean that you have to shoot 85 grn heads. You should be able to move up into the 100 grn range and expand your options a great deal. That is unless your arrows are right on the edge of being spined properly. My first choices would be a magnus stinger or possibly the 85 grn slick trick. You can check out my website www.broadheadtests.com I have some tuning info along with a few articles on broadheads for low draw weight bows. The main thing is to make sure your bow is tuned well, and you put shots where they belong. At 50lbs of draw weight you main concern is going to be accuracy and penetration.

RE: 85 gr. broadhead
I was thinking the same thing. Why would you want to use such a light head if you are pulling 50#'s.

RE: 85 gr. broadhead
I'd recommend a weight set or maybe a gym membership.
