ATV Stolen Version II!!!
#1
It all started with a call while i was at work from the Artic Cat shop we bought the 4 wheeler at. And the guy i talk to often, my 4-wheeler go-to guy asks me if my grandfather(bear in mind he islike a dad to me so when something happens it affects me at a father/son level)is missing his 4wheeler?..... I snicker and said no i dont reckon.
So he procedes to tell me the sherriffs dept. in a county in NC said they found a couple, ran the serieals and it matched ours. sothere it was, that funny gut feelin, so i callPapa and sure enough it was gone!! But being very blessed the 4-wheeler was recovered and all the apparent damage was the ingnition was ripped out for hot-wiring puposes. However, no idea on who done this, needless to say all our stuff is locked away good now. which is a shame, who wants to goto there OWN building, garage, barn, and have to take the time to dig for keys to get intowhat is theirs. Its a shame. But we have the ATV back and is at the shop gettingfixed and checked out.
I do wander how hard they ran it during their joy ride? And we dont have insurance on it so its coming outof the pocket which is another shame but it could have been a lot wosre.

I'm glad you got your 4-wheeler back....You might be covered by homeowners insurance, my brother's was stolen a couple of years ago and his homeowners policy covered it...In fact he went and picked up a brand new one and the insurance company paid for it....Funny thing is, he had put the word out and his was also recovered, about 3 months later...They busted a ring from the Norfolk area coming down into eastern NC and hitting nicer homes and taking everything in the garage....What's crazy, the guy selling this stuff had a decent job in the Ford truck plant, was in management...He's in the pen now....

I found one about this time last year. A nearly new polaris was in a nice hollow spot in some thick brush. Surrounded by empty beer cans and empty gas cans. I called the PD and said "has anybody reported a stolen 4 wheeler lately?" And dispatch replied "is it a yellow and white polaris?"
They really did not do ANY investigation, just came out and looked at the VIN and had me drop it off at the impound shed in my work truck (I work for the city)

Well glad to hear you got it back. That's really too bad that that is what our society is coming to. If they had been raised hunting they would have had something better to do than turn into delinquents.
