I've thought about this one for years, do you thinktobacco spitspooks deer? Also, to my fellow dippers and chewers, do you spit in a bottle, down the tree or not dip at all while in the stand?

Skoal straight, from the stand to the dirt. I usually take it out about 45 min-1 hr before dark so I don't get caught spitting it out and and deer busts me.

Dip SKOAL for years and smoked before that.I'm think the smell of SKOAL was far worse.

I'd have to believe it does but I ask, why would you take a chance?

If you take a small dip instead of looking like you took a front end loader and stuffed your lip with it, you don't have to spit. "Just a pinch between yer cheek and gum..."

Dip that new Cope Smooth hickory, was dipping while I shot my buck 2 weeks ago, into a bottle of course. But still...shot a buck while dipping. My dad has taken plenty while smoking. Gotta be downwind though I would imagine.

I dip on standand spit on the ground while hunting. The way i see it is, first and foremost I'm out hunting to get away, relax and have some fun. I'm going to do what iwant so im relaxed and having fun. Then if i see deer or even lucky enough to take one its a huge benefit. I love to hunt, im not going to make myself miserable doing something i love.

I dip every time I'm in the stand. I use to spit on the ground, until it spooked a couple of deer. Now I carry a plastic bottle in my fanny pack. Been doing it for 15 years.

i wouldnt take any chances on doin it and spookin a deer.
