gotta show off my 8pt :)
well i posted a couple of weeks ago about missing a buck because the bow hit the treestand TWICE. well ive been huntin him hard trying diffrent locations everyday and finally got him. when i seen them last there was 3 bucks but this one wont the biggest one of the 3 but hes big enough for me. out of all the places i thought i would see him, it was the last place i ever would have thought hed be. i got off work late and didn't get to go where i had set up for him so i grabed another stand and decided to sit between 2 fields where ive taken many deer in the past 6 years. i park the truck and sneak in close to the edge of the field so i woulnd't make too much noise and climb a hardwood tree. i get about 20ft up and start tieing my rope to the foot piece of the stand and here he comes w/ a 4pt. i didn't have my release on, arrow ready or anything, so i make a grunt to stop him hoping to give me time to get ready and i got ready and as i was starting to stand he starts walkin again so i grunt he stops and i shoot. i shot alittle high at about 10yds hit the spine and dropped him in his tracks. i know hes not big but im proud of it. and to think i almost didn't go but then decided at the last min that i wont kill a buck at the house and it paid off
