Its all about putting your stand(s) in the right spot(s). Your putting to much emphasis on the gimmicks. Stand placement is going to make you sucessfull faster than any call or scents. The scents and calls you mentioned can be used as a tool but to many young hunters are blowing them every ten minutes giving away their position. I would recomend making yourself a ghost. If you use a call only do it when you see a deer you want to kill. Just a light grunt to get his attention.Maybe just a couple of other guidence grunts if he seems interested. If you use scents put them in spots where you want to get a shot. The idea being adeer comes in puts its nose on your scent and you draw. Theres no magic potion that will float into the woods and bring the bucks to your stand. Stand placement first, than the tools.

thanks guys i have my stand set up in a area by a soybean field a creek and i have 8 trails coem down and cross about 15 yards or so out they all have countles trails off of them within 50 yards .
one trail which i think is one of two main trails. runs about northwest to southeast and is well worked it heads from the creek to the cross point . And the trail that runs toward the soybeans is well worked
out of three hunts i have seen 13 deer two of which were small bucks.
