I don't.

Open pattern camos are a difficult concept to undertand until you've used them.

Don't get to caught up in the name of a pattern. I have everything from Mossy Oak to Realtree and even have some olive drap military stuff and some stuff I have no idea of what it's called. Match the color or pattern as best you can to your hunting spot. Olive drab works just fine in the pines..
The big thing is to make sure it is scent free and hunt right..

Most of the Camo patterns have a tendency to Blob out with a little distance and are too dark to begin with. Not so with Predator or ASAT

From what I understand about camoflauge, it isn't really intended to make you, "blend in". It is intended more to break up the outline of your body using light and dark shades. Is this wrong?

Not everybody does. I use both. I really like the idea of the predator after reading about it and seeing it in black and white as compared to other brands.
