He has sheds and pictures of this buck for the past three years but hadn't seen him in person till this year when he killed him. He was 6.5 years old |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck

but still awesome |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
Wow, I hate him too. :DGorgeous animal.
No I like Jay, always have back to the original Drury Monster Buck days. His photographer knows what the heck he's doing too. ;):) Anyone else notice it looks like he shot him straight on? Entrance in the base of the neck and exit in the belly? |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
Matt I think that is a leaf you see. looks like the exit is perfect
|
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
That is a STUD buck!
|
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
That is a nice buck ... massive head gear , I wouldn't mind getting one like that myself.
|
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
That buck right there is my dream buck, and Jay shot him. [:@]
Awesome deer, it's just too bad I'll have to fast forward through two hours of his wife and kid hunting on the next DVD before I get to see what I'm really after. ;) |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
I seen the entrance/exit also. It looks as if he hit in base of neck and definately came out in the belly. Not saying that is or isnt a good shot just that it is where he was shot. Great buck!!!! I see the leaf know!!!
|
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
ORIGINAL: childers thats what money gets you but still awesome |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
Ok I am blind I see the exit by the deers right front leg. In the bottom picture, I can see the hole that rage left, geezes it's huge

ORIGINAL: HNIJustin Awesome deer, it's just too bad I'll have to fast forward through two hours of his wife and kid hunting on the next DVD before I get to see what I'm really after. ;) That is a tremendous buck regardless of who shot it. :) Thanks Mike for showing us. I agree Justin, and when is it just because your on TV that your an "expert". I hate that DB commercial when it says, "hunt like the experts, Tami, kids name, and Jay Gregory"...I mean comon Tami and the kid are "experts" now that they are on TV? Anyhow, I digress. Impressive deer, very impressive and I agree Germ, Matt, your seeing a leaf. |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
I've followed Jay since he started with the Drury bows. What a slammer.
|
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
Nice buck, I dont know that guy very well TV wise, but i believe i seen him last week on the tube, he didnt seem to know what he was talking about or just rying to sell RAGE broadheads. He was talking about how 2 deer that were just shot prob would have lived if the were'nt using them because they wouldn't have hit anthing vital, when the shots were clear as day in the stomach. Dont missinform people just because you want to sell something, yes they look like an awesome broadhead and a lot of people speak highly of them but find a different sales pitch or people new to hunting will be leaving dead deer in the woods from a bad shot.

|
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
WOW!!! |
RE: Jay Gregory Splitter Buck
What a stud of a deer. I've actually been a big fan of Jay's since his early days with the Drury. IMHO...he's one of theselect few TV personality guys that is actually a GOOD deer hunter. I'm not so sure about his wife, but he's a monster killing machine no doubt. Congrats to Jay on another "buck of a lifetime".

That is a awesome buck. I like watching Jay Gregory but he has way to many commercials during his show. How do you suppose he always grows such big deer? He must own abunch of land. I know he owns property in Iowa but where else?
|
