I was walking to put some fishing gear up in the storage room off of our deck. The light was out and it was dark. I stepped on what I thought the be a stick and felt my heel slice open. This was actually the remains of less than half of an arrow that had fallen off the antlers of a deer I killed that was hanging over the storage room door. It feels worse than it looks. Yes that is my blood on the broadhead

Oh man! Your not going to belive this but my buddy did the exact same thing this weekend. He stepped on a package of my new broadheads barefoot and they cut through the packaging and sliced his heel up!

Walking is much more difficult than it was yesterday!! I have to stay on my tippy toes with my right foot- getting a good calf workout!!

thats a good sovenier thats sucks to hope it gets better a fewyears ago i was repainting my room and was cutting and misplaced my knife and grapd a display knife i had that hasfive blades on it looks like a large broadhead kinda four outthetbackand one out the front 10 inchs long and 3inchs wide i set it on the floor and i was going to a movie and walked into it shoe les and it stuck my righ on the side of my toe and even cutmy nerve

Thanks BC! I had to pray for forgiveness for some of the things that came out of my mouth when I did it!! I told my wife- at least it was my foot and not one of the kids- I woulda never forgiven myself!

I'll probably have to stay out of the woods for a week, but I won't be out any longer than that. So really I'll only be missing this weekend since I don't really get to hunt much during the week anyways.

Ouch!
At least you know its sharp!!!:eek: I stepped on one of my Rage 3blades and the blade cut almost all the way though the sole of my boot. I couldn't imagine what stepping on something like a Slick Trick or Muzzy woul do. Hope it heals fast. |

Ouch i feel for ya. 3years ago i went 2 set down on my bed after i put broadheads on my arrows for some reason i missed one Wasp Hammer SST 100gri set down and had my hand turned backwards for some reason also. I cut 3/4" deep in my hand severed the tendon and had to get 14 stiches my hand still hangs down because of the injuries. I guess we should pay more attention. [8D]

Back in the early 80s, when overdraws were popular, I had a buddy draw on a deer, and the arrow fell off the rest. He reached up with his finger to set the arrow back on the rest and bumped his release. The arrow shot, passed over his finger, cuting it off. Not a pretty day for him.

still hurts- it ain't so bad though- wife has been pampering me;) might have to milk this one for a while.....:)
got a buddy that wants me to hunt with him tomorrow- he has a ground blind that he says he will be able to drive me to. Tempting- but she might not feel so bad for me anymore if I go hunting tomorrow afternoon. Is it worth it?! Dilemma..... what do you guys think? |
