Default Excuse me while I toot my own horn

Not sure if anyone remembers us having this conversation way back in April... About string suppressors, and a wild idea that I had.

http://huntingnet.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=2094934&mpage=1&key=suppressors& amp;#2094934

...and then there was this (embarrassingly bad) drawing that I made..

Anyway, someone must have been listening and taking notes.

I'm totally a visionary.

LOL!!! Fran I do remember that thread. That new bear is a wild looking bow. But why in gods name did they have to mess it up with that black rubbery looking grip. If you gonna build a nice bow, put a decent looking grip on it.

Not hard at all. For some people, it just comes naturally. Take Winston Churchill for example. He was a guy who obviously modeled himself after me. Same thing with Brad Pitt.

Chris - I think the grip is cool. Not a fan of the rubber though. Seems like a tacky grip would be "torquey" to shoot. While that bow is probably slower than Molasses in wintertime, it's probably a very good shooter, smooth and shock-free.

Ryan - nothing earth shattering. Just two STS units placed equidistant from the nockpoint to provide a symmetrical cushion for the string. Just in terms of harmonics, I think this is the cat's meow. In the thread above, I was whining b/c most bows are only tapped for an STS unit below the nockpoint. They should be tapped both above and below.
