Depressed.... it's almost over.

I'm headed back to the woods tomorrow for the weekend hunt. Black powder season opens Saturday, and I'll be out therewith my bow.
This will be my last hunt this year. I go in Monday for pre-op and surgery is scheduled for Thursday. Then the next six weeks my right arm will be in a brace. Then I have a few months of physical therapy to look forward to.
I've been trying to scheme up a way to hunt with only one arm so that I don't totally miss out on hunting the rest of the season. I've even considered buying a pistol so I can gun hunt from a ground blind in Missouri during gun season, but I don't have a ground blind, and after all the money I've spent on archery, I don't think I can convice the wife that a pistol and blind are necessary.
Looks like after this weekend, I'll just be watching from the sidelines.
I can't tell you how much I hope this drop in temperature has a positive impact on this weekend.
