First cool afternoon of the season=doe down.

I was in my stand for all of ten minutes when this doe, another doe, and a fawn fed to within 15 yds. of my tree. I let my arrow go when she turned perfectly broadside at took her through both lungs. She piled up in sight after running 50 yds. I shot her with a two blade Rage and got the large entry/exit and great blood trail everyone has been talking about. I left for our lease at 3:10 and was on my sofa eating supper with her off the bone and in the fridge by 6:45, I am loving it! It will be tenderloins and eggs in the morning.
I am so happy it cooled off.

Thank you very much for the kind words. I am very pleased with how the afternoon went. I am going to try for one more doe before concentrating on trying to kill a buck. I have got to help my team out

Way to go Brett, nice nanny. Enjoy breakfast. All we saw tonight was does as well. Not moving like we thought but it didn't cool that much. Tonight into tomorrow is another story!
