Why do you use Blazers?
#1
From what I've read....the advantages of blazers over 4" vanes occurs at distances beyond 35yds. If this is true....and most of us are utilizng shots much shorter than this.......why do we use these vanes?
I admit I use them because that's what "everyone" at the time I got into this started touting. I'm not sure I realize their potential.
What's your thoughts?

Less weight=more speed
Don't know how much more speed I gain but that was the reason I began using them. Probably not enough speed to brag about but every little bit helps. Also, less fletching to worry about with contact issues and such. They are TOUGH too. Did I foget to mention they make my arrows look purty.

2 reasons for me.
1. they are MUCH quieter in flight
2. I shoot well beyond 35 yards
An added bonus was how well their yellow shows up against animals. I know where the arrow has hit them before it disappears, and that can be very helpful.

I use them for target shooting during the spring/summer then I switch to feathers. They hold up a little better when shooting groups and experimenting with long shots that may miss the target.
