Deer walks into ground blind
I have a ground blind near one of my tree stands that I duck into for lunch or when the weather turns bad or when I need a nap. The other morning I was sitting in the stand watching a button buck sucking up acorns as he walked through the under brush. He would step through the saplings to get the acorns. He headed right for the ground blind and when he got to it he tried to step through it like the sapplings, when it didn't give and he went face first into it he just about jumped out of his skin.
Later in the day I was in the blind and I had another fawn come within a couple of yards of me. I managed to get my bow of the ceiling hangar and draw on a doe 15 yards away, the doe stepped into my shooting lane the same time the fawn did. I literally had a fawn point blank with a doe over it's shoulder. I think I could have shot them both with 1 arrow!

I had a doe do that to me today. My blind isn't exactly a blind, it's a downed treetop. I put up camo net for full concealment, but the open end is toward the tree top. A doe walked up to me right in the middle of the tree, about 8 feet away. Of course I was turned the wrong way to shoot, so all I could do was sit there and hope. She stood there for like 3 minutes, looking and sniffing. When she left, she went about 20 feet away and bedded down behind a tree. She was still there when it got dark, so I shined a light over on her until she got up and left. I don't think she spooked, just got tired of the light.
