Right to the chase boys. The DNR has hired logging companies to cut down all trees above four feet tall in what I believe to be all Wildlife management areas! One of my best areas is now a giant pile of logs and I am pissed!! So, if you do not have any private land to hunt and want to be in a tree stand you'll probably have to wait about 25 years or move up north. A friend of mine who lives right next to a WMA got into it with the logging company and had the job stopped temporarily. The reason for this is so that birds of prey do not have a place to sit and wait for the pheasants. We need to contact the DNR and tell them to stop because it is not only pheasants that benefit from these areas but ALL wildlife!! We have to act NOW or it will be too late!!

It's just this simple. If a tree is taller than 4 feet tall and it is on a WMA it will be cut down. Not a joke. I have seen at least three WMA's around here that are nothing but grass.
