Default New boot from scent blocker on dream season??

The scent blocker guy was just on there talking about how rubber boots are nice and all but they still dispense scent every time you step from air coming through the top!!!!!!!

Im sorry but what is next?? Are they gonna start selling air tight garbage bags for people to wear or what????

I understand that some scent may disperse through the top of the boots but WOW..... i am so sick of the whole thing!!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!! Now back to the good hunting stories.............

I think it's a great looking boot though regardless of the Scent Lok thing. Of course they have to have an angle. I've had great success with rubber boots and deer crossing my trail. Of course I go through great lengths to descent as much as possible prior to putting on the boots.

well yeah they do.....when you walk in shoes or boots the movement of you feet the boot creats movement of air which will escape where it can...in rubber boots that place out the top....its not the boots that smell but your feet...thats why they put the carbon thing on top to catch some of that smell...

Here's an idea: wear your scent lok pants over your boots.

I was thinking of using one of those hazmat radiation suits in a camo pattern…

Actually, I think I found a nice, less expensive alternative to carbon. Medalist Silvermax. It’s got some kid of silver thread woven into the material. Supposed to be antimicrobial for up to 4 days. It’s also heat regulating…keeps you cool on hot days (like last weekend) through wicking, and reflects warmth back in on colder days. I haven’t had a chance to check out the warmth feature, but it passed the warm day test on Monday with flying colors. I saw 12 deer and none scented me, even though it was 90 degrees and I sweat like a pig. Keystone Country Store and Sportsman’s Guide both sell it. It’s ~$70 for top and bottom combined.
