Great job on the recovery! Where did the arrow pass through her at....was it a liver shot?

Matt, I would give her a few hours and go back and look tonight. It's hard to say exactly where you hit her. It sounds like you and GMMAT have the exact same situation going on. Wait a couple hours and get some GOOD flashlights and help and try and get back on her so you don't lose the meat. Good luck man.

Congrats on the hit & finding her. Yeah, it's not good when you lose one. I shot the same kind of shot u did a few yrs ago. The deer only ran off about 50yds & bedded down. I sat there waiting & a friend of mine was coming back in an hour later, and came across her. That was it. She got up & took off like a bat out of hell, never to be found. Way better off letting them sit & finding them later.

Yes sounds liek a liver shot to me, What did she do after you shot her, did she hunch her backor kick? How steep was the angle?
