I've been doing it all week why stop now. The deer are moving pretty well out my way, must be all the acorns dropping, I have to wear a hard hat hunting.

I typed too soon. Supposed to get up to 84 about the time I'd be hiking in. Looks like im going to be working around the house getting ready for my move, I'll hit CT on Monday afternoon instead. Should be a little cooler. Grilling backstraps sounds like a good idea to me, think I'll do a little of that myself :)

86 right now on it's way to 90,I think I will just go check out the grand opening of the new Gander Mountain.

The deer are moving,I have no doubts.When we were at H&H a couple weeks ago,the deer were moving at 3:00.It was 90 and high humidity.

In spite of all the recent complaining I've been doing.................I'm going.

........Late though, try to sneak in about an hour and a halfbefore dark. It's a high of 89 today, but cloudy. The overcast is the ONLY sign of relief(if that's what you want to call it). [&:]

I couldnt tell ya. Ive killed two deer this year so far but I still have the hunger for more. Im pacing around the house bored outa my mind just thinking what I should do. [:@]

Will be out there this afternoon, but will be carrying my new Thermocell with me. After this mornings hunt with them eating away at me I stopped by the store and bought me one to try. It was also warm this morning but never noticed it for the skeeters on me...

Now if it were the last week of October or beyond I would be out there.... Just not worth it this early in the game... IMO.

Going to relax order some pizza and watch the Buckeyes own the boilermakers...... Right now I am watching IL lay it down on the Badgers...

Well I just got my clothes all cleaned up from the last drenching of sweat and seeing no deer. I will wait till this front moves threw this coming week! Guess I will just be a boy till then Sorry guys!!

We'll see when I am dragging a slammer out of my "fresh" woods at a later date:D(hopefully!)

Last night and tonight arethe first evening hunts I have skippedthis year..... I have hunted in the heat numerous times this year, my results with limited buck sightings on the hot days(no mature bucks) tell me to hold off until the heat passes.

I don't disagree..that staying home may be the smarter move. However for those of us that work during the week (Scott ;)). Premium conditions and allowable time do not always go hand in hand. Off to shower, if I don't check in tonight..you made the right move....lol :D

Dropping acorns make me want to be in the woods all the time. I am gonna head out. I gave up the first week's after work hunts to lay flooring in the new house. Good luck guys.

I will be going out shortly but only for a few hours.The deer in one of the staging areas near acornfield I hunt have been moving regardless a couple of hours before dark in front of my trail cam. I had a tense standoff with some nice does a few weeks ago under similar conditions (they didn't see me but knew something was up) and was getting bit by mosquitoes by the time I got down. No way am I going out!! After all my season is not even open if you can believe that.The whole world is hunting and I'm scratching myself.
I'm still putting up stands and ground blinds for later use.
Neat part is I found three sheds in the last couple of weeks right by my stands. AGOOD 8pt and a chewed up 12pt I think. So at least I know they made it thru the winter. Funny thing is I never saw these two deer last year. They musta snack by me while I was napping.

We are heading out to hunt shortly. Temps are horrid here too.Barely made 60. ;) No sweating here!! :D Well if I could kill something there might be a little sweating dragging it out since Tyler gimped out on me and sprained his ankle. He is limping out to his spot though to hunt. It's not too far.

Im not but I just seen deer moving on my drive home 2:30pm. they where just walking downa tree line feeding. Did not expect to see them this early in the day with the heat.
