Bright side to all his heat.....
With this extreme autumn heat keeping a lot of guys out of the woods the lighter pressure on the deer may result in stronger daylight activity during the pre-rut....Well aguy can hope can't he
I probably won't go out all weekend, Sunday morning if at all.... A cold / storm frontis forecasted to roll in on Tuesday dropping the temps from the mid 80's to the mid 70's and then down to the 60's for Wednesday....
For those of you who are venturing out into the heat... Good luck.

Our season opens in one week .....long range calls for lows in the 40's and highs in mid 60's ...not too bad ....

Wanna know how us Southern guys do it. I'll tell ya how. You get dressed, sweat down, spray down, and you hunt with a thermacell fully loaded. LOL you feel sweat rolling down your back and legs into your boots while you hunt. If you do get a deer, you track it thru snake infested thickets or swamps and you swat mosquitoes. You find your deer quickly so it does not spoil the meat. You drag the deer out and sweat like Osama in 4th of July Parade.LOL You hang up the deer in a tree in your yard cause you don't have an enclosed shelter for processing. Immediately at 0'dark-30 the mosquitoes realize this animal is dripping their favorite drink. Blood. You have to position the Thermacell right beside your work area and spray down with deep woods off. Then you sweat some more until you have no more sweat. When you are done, you thank God for success, take a hot shower and pray you can do the same thing again soon. That's my take on Southern bow hunting in the heat.
