I've seen more snakes while archery hunting this year than I ever had cant wait till it gets cold so they hibernate Just curious if you ever been bitten while hunting (archery,deer,turkey just anytime you got bitten)

Not while hunting, but I have been struck or struck at by snakes 5 times, I used to go catch them when I was a kid. I only got a good dose of venom once (pygmy rattlesnake) while digging worms. It hurt, and my hand sweleed up pretty badly. I killed quite a few this past turkey season, but none got to take a swing at me.

Once while I was in the 4th grade by a copperhead.

I haven't seen any snakes yet,but some of the guys around the area have.

Once when I was 12, but it was just a king snake......Still scared the hell outta me though....

Never been bitten by a venomous snake causeI am a lot more cautious when handling them but have been bitten many many times by non-venomous snakes.

I was bit by a Diomondback in my own front yard. Hurt like hell!The doc said there was no venom in my blood but it still hurt.

Not bitten by anything with fangs, my pythons and corn snakes got me a few times. But, I did get to have a run in with a canebreak (timber) rattlesnake a while back. It was going under the wife's car as I was walking by it. #7 birdshot solved that issue very quickly.

Never bit but I have come close. Nothing venemous though. Used to try to catch garter snakes when I was a kid. I pulled a big black snake from my garage earlier this summer. He was betwee 5-6 feet long. I thought he was going to snap at me but he just took a defensive posture until I drug him out by his tail.
