Not too bad of a nite lastnite
#1
I headed out lastnight and decided to sit in my new stand along the river. I arrived at my stand around 445 or so, It was actually cool along the river with the sw wind. Not seeing anything, I decided to start getting ready to pull out at around 650 or so. I took a good look around and spotted movent to the NE of me. I could see it was a mature deer, but wasnt sure if it was a buck or doe. I waited. It then moved into a clearing about 45 yards and I could plainly see it was a good shooter buck, spread about 19-20inches. I couldnt tell how many points nor how tall his rack was. I waitted in hopes he would offer me a shot. He never did. I gave him sometime to leave the stand area and I proceeded to exit the area as quietly as possible. As I started walking out, I heard him leap. I froze and waited...nothing....I figured he went down over the bank and to the river...I proceeded to walk some more. Got to the road that he was standing on and that when I see him, a flash of white, and there he was.....gone
. I am going to let this stand sit another week before hunting it again, I only hunt this stand once a week. I dont have any pics of the buck but here are some from the stand. The buck was standing in the area of the NE pic.
