Thats the same question I just posted. If there are still spots are they capable of taking care of themselves?? Or wait until the spots are gone then send a broadhead flying at the mom?

if you see a doe with a faded spots on the fawn then she is just about tired of it fallowing her around and is about to run it off. shoot her now and the fawn will growup in that territory. im trying([:@]un- successfully)to get at a doe thats got a fadded spot fawn anda fawn in tow, that isbefore the fawns dissapear.
the allternate is for them to cross a fence and that ole boy will shoot the first thing that moves. So i want them on my side, they will atleast get to grow up then.

Shoot the fawns and you dont have to worry weather it will survive. It wont.

Dang! I wish this forum had been started earlier. I would've known it was ethical to shoot a large doe that stood 15 yards from me opening morning with her fawn. Oh well, i guess i'll take her next time.
