Default Turkey down..

Hey guys I know this prolly belongs in the turkeythread but Ikilled it with my bow so.. AnywayI had planned on just going out this morning and trying to shoot a coyote because my grandpa said that they had plowed the wheat field and I figured that deer hunting wouldn't be any good. So I get out there about 10 minutes after sunup and find out that I wasted my morning because the field had not been plowed. So I grab my bow and head to the stand anyway knowing that I already missed the best part of the morning. I set for about 2 hours and saw 6 turkey feeding in the wheat so I decided to put a stalk on them and I got to the edge of the field and just waited in the weeds on the treeline until they were all about 20-35 yards away. When I picked out the biggest one at 23yards I let it fly and down she went. I got a complete pass thru with hardly any blood on the arrow and it was a vitals shot. Anyway the remaining 5 didn't know what had happened and walked to the down turkey and started to jump on it and scratch it like they were telling it to wake up or something. I let them do there thing for the next 30 mintues and then went and recovered my bird.

Good job, I also like the way you propped your bow up for the picture.

Congratulations. I've never taken a fall turkey with my bow. Missed a couple. Did manage a couple grouse, and ringnecked pheasants...go figure I can hit those..LOL I do have 2 spring gobblers to my belt though.

Nice bird, congrats again.
