Its official he is at the taxidermist. Matt and I dropped them off tonight....talk about excited. Geez, I cannot wait til h eis back We picked out some nice poses. It will be a long 6-8 months.

my buck was only his second one so far, he told me it would be after the first of the year. I would lov eto have it sooner but in reality I can wait I am just anxious right now. you can understand Mr. 160 plus.

Yeah they were both from private land and IMO AR's are definitely working.
These animals are hunted hard and travel to and from public ground.
I'm close enough to state ground that if there were no trees in the way I could shoot a deer standing on public ground with my bow.
I am hearing of more and more big bucks being taken but it will always be an uphill battle here. Too many "Old School" mindsets and just flat out too much pressure.
We have the genetics and food, just too many people vying for their slice of the pie.
By the way look for the separate post with both bucks together at the taxidermist. Really sweet to see them side by side.

Sweet Jesus , now thats is a nice deer . Don't know how i missed this link earlier , but that is a beauty .... CONGRATS FELLA . You deserve a drink after that one , have one on me .
