The wife's first kill
 

Saturday afternoon was rainy and wet but once the rain stopped we got into our stands and within 10 minutes My wife shot her first deer.The trail cam picture is from about 1 minute before she shot her.

I was only 80 yards away and I saw the doe run off so I gave it 10 minutes and went and found her.My wifewas happy and kind of sad at the same time.I think it is a normal response to a first kill.

It's an unpleasant job to take an animals life and requires a certain level of maturity to do the unpleasant but necessary things that need doing. I kind of feel that certain people should be aware of it but sheltered. Women are among that group. I also feel that any woman who is willing to do it will be a much better person. Your wife grew up a little that day. She lost some innocence and gained in maturity.Glad to have her in the ranks. Ya got a good woman.
