You have to know the laws and how they are enforced.

11 words.

Understand what I just said! (It's not a question)

I'm not saying anything more about it.

In ohio you have to have writen permission on your person at all times when you are hunting private land. Trust me, don't get caught w/out it. Mine dropped out of my license holder on the floor of the truck and i just happened to get checked while walking out , honest mistake, but what an a$$ the game warden was.

Written permission, it's the law, and if you yourself don't carry it, guess what. Yep, your in violation also.
Maybe in your state it's the law....but not in Illinois. Although I would love to see it made into a law.

I had the SAME exact thing happen to me last year as Mahoningbuck did, I had asked and got permission from the land owner who assured me that I was the only one hunting there, and if I seen anyone...run them off. Well just as Iget settled, a 4-wheeler comes right through the bean field, through the over grown pasture, and stops 35 yards in front of me, I hit him with my flashlight (not literally) and he YELLS "YA, I SEE YOU" does he move? Hell no, to make a long story shorter, his daughter is hunting on the ground 35 yards in front of me and he is 60 yards behind me...they totally cut me off. And after I got down I asked who gave them permission his response was " The tenant farmer, and I've been hunting here for 30 years". This year I paid for custom signs and got written permission that I had exclusive hunting rights. Next step will be to call the game warden on that rude S.O.B

As it seems in many other states, in KS. the landowner looses his/her power of authority to his/her land once he/she leases/rents thier land to another farmer. The farmer who works/farms the ground has the authority to give permission to who hunts the land, UNLESS otherwise written in black and white.
