Monday can't come soon enough for me. I thought about hunting Medewin monday but I haven't had any chance to get out and scout so I have decided to hunt Mathessian instead. Only problem is it is doe only for the entire month of October. But hopefully I can get a quick freezer full of doe on monday then spend the rest of the season hunting the giant bucks at Medewin!

Im from jacksonville Il... in the heart of IL... and hunt mostly in morgan.. scott and macon co... but my farm is down in Pope Co. illinois right smack dab in the middle of shawnee national forest... farms been around longer than the park and they always wanna buy it... but noooo way we got 180-190s coming outta there every year

I hunted the east side of Medewin 2yrs ago on opening day. It looked like the "tour de france" I think they allow about 50-60 hunters in that side and almost everyone was on a bike. When the sun came up I could see 4 hunters within 80yds. I never went back but they do have some monsters in that place! Good luck!
I'll be at Castle Rock in Ogle county this year.
