Yep. I got permission to hunt 100 acres surrounded by a creek but then surrounded by homes and housing developments.
I got in there last night and saw 9 does and one BIG BOY!!!! No shot on the big boy, but he wasn't the least bit nervous about trotting through the field next to me and checking things out.
I had all the shots I wanted on the does, but thought maybe he'd come just 30yds closer.
He was a good 8 pointer and I'd guess about 16 to 18 inches wide.
(Hey for my neck of the woods, those kind of bucks just ain't seen.)

Not bad for my first experience in a new place! I set up in a patch of woods between 2 hay fields and the does were crossing from one field to another right in front of me!!

I love hunting woodlots like you just mentioned farm....it offers up some great opportunities but also offers up additional challanges. Any chance of a topo/ aerial of it for some pointers.
