Your ideas on what to do..

I have got this deer at the same spot for the last 5 out of 7 days, (2 at night and 3 in the daylight) my season opens on monday. Should I take off work and go after him in the timber or wait until the next weekend and hunt the fields? The bad part is I'll lose 350 bucks in overtime.I think I should get in there before he starts moving around marking his turf. what would you do?:)

I'd get after him if you have him patterend that well. Never know what might change in a week. You can make 350 another time, I'd rather be dropping 600 to have him hanging on my wall, JMHO.

I'd trade that 350 bucks for that 1 buck!

$350 sounds pretty good, you might pay upwards of $2,000 somewhere else and would have to book about a year in advance. Good luck I hope we can see a pitcure with you holding the rack.

Depends on your situation,if it means the rent or food, then go to work and chance him later. But be all means if it means just another 350 in the bank, go nail him. Hunting season means sacrafices.

Very nice...Just tell me were he is and you can go to work and not worry about losing the 350.00...I will even let you have a pic with him :D:D:D......
you never know that might be the biggest one you ever have a chance at...not unless you've bagged a bigger one...But really just give me the GPS location and I will take care of it for you......

He's a dandy buck and with that type of patterning, I'd hunt him as soon as possible. No telling where else he frequents and who else might mess him up before you have a chance to hunt him again. I hope to see him in another kind of picture.;)

Ok, I'm taking a half a day off on monday to goafter him, I looked through my picture's a seen he shows up in the afternoon when it's light out. In this picture he stayed around for almost 20 minutes. I hope he's not busy monday because I want to meet him.

WHAT!!!! I don't even know what to type. Pleasedon't go to work. I'd take that picture right to my boss and say,"I'm going to needto usea little time." There would be noquestions asked.

YOU MUST HUNT!
HE WILL DISAPPEAR INTO THE NIGHT IF ONE LITTLE THING SETS HIM OFF. Next chance will be the rut, and who knows how far off he'll stray.

What's the dilemma here? You have a monster buck patterned like clockwork and you're asking us if you should go hunting or wait. You must be joking, right?

By the way, I just matched all six numbers on Mega Millions. Should I take the money or throw away my ticket? I need your advice. Please help. I'm really confused. This is so hard....

That's a buck of a lifetime..or at least it is from where I comefrom.

I wouldn't cut yourself short with a half day off. Give yourself at least 3 days. Just when you think you have a buck pattered they do somthing different. Make up a good excuse to your boss and don't mention deer hunting......that will probably get you fired or demoted. Definately take the three days though, you'll need it. If you kill-em on the first night....win win, go back to work early.......although I would probably need the other two days for some celabrating.;)

............Good Luck

I’m going against the grain here. Don’t listen to the others, they don’t know what they’re talking about. They are ignorant and we (you and me) aren’t.

Here is what we do; You go to work and make that cool clean $350! I will hunt the buck for us, and give you another $350! You’re up $700! It really is that simple.

All you have to do is PM me directions and it’s a deal!

In all seriousness; you asked, they responded. You know what to do, now go boy! Go and get him!

In 10 years are you going to remember the 350 dollars in overtime or the buck that you have on your wall? Then again I don't know if you havea family to feed or stack of bills to pay. If it was me....I'm in the woods.

I dont know your situation, but i would be in the woods every afternoon till i got him. That is one heck of a buck. If you can live without the OT for alittle while, get after him while he is still patternable. That is one fine deer, i love how the main beams turn upwards.

I would get in there ASAP. If he's on that same pattern for that length of time, you have to give it a shot.

I would not think twice about a few "sick" days to go after a buck like that. That thing is a monster. Best of luck in putting a tag on him.

I'm going for it, I think I feel a bad case of the Flu comming on.:D:DThe funny thing is he is not the biggest deer in those woods, he is the only one I have patterned out. I'll let you know if I have any luck.:)

To me with no wife or kids that deer is worth way more than an extra 350$ in the pocket!! I would go give'em the Muzzy stamp(or whatever your choice of broadhead is)!

RE: Your ideas on what to do..

Can you afford $350 Bucks? Can you call it a crap shoot? Are you ready to give up $350 bucks to take a chance you might not see him on that day? IF YOU ANSWERED YES TO THOSE THREE QUESTIONS, THEN HAVE AT EM!
If you have bills due or other financial responsibilities, that overtime just might outweigh the drive to get him on that day. He should be back in the next two eh? Nice Buck! He is not going anywhere. Hunting can be an obsession! You have to decide if the bill collecter comes first.

I went in this afternoon and as I was comming out of the corn to go in the timber I stopped to glass the timber, guess what I saw, this deer and 2 doe's bedded down. There is no way I could have got in there without them knowing it,I backed out and went to a different stand. I don't think this deer leave's this timber much, the only picture's I have got of him is in this timber. How would you guys get in on him? I was thinking of going in about 1 hour before daylight and sitting until dark, that way he might still be in the field . He looks alot better threw bino's than he does in the picture's.:D
