Default bigger bait piles

well i hate to have to do this, but corn just aint cuttin it to get these deerto come into where i can hunt. so i was thinking more corn mixed w/ apples, potatos, corn on cobs, grapes, salt licks, minerial licks and the deer cain stuff all in one big area. it would be like a deer buffet. whatcha think? will the big boys like it?

While I am not a baiter my grandfather was. I can say the more bait the worst you will be off.

A half of a 5 gallon bucket is all you need. You want to create competition for the bait among the deer. If you have a small amount the deer will come to it earlier. So it is not gone. If you havepiles of the stuff they will learn they can wait and come in at night.

less bait is better IMO Why feeders that spread small amouts of bait work so well

Or just try hunting acorn's in the woods until the deer move to the corn.

I use corn and 50 pound apple licks and that seems to do the trick. The lick gurantees to keep them coming back even when I can't get back every week or two to fill the corn.
