Bowhunting out of climber
ok ima hunt from my climber but I was wondering how do you all do it? do you wrap around your safety harness around the tree every time you go up? whats a faster way to do it? thanks

RE: Bowhunting out of climber
yes i use a strap or rope that i can strap and loosen fast as i climb but strap yourself in the whole time you never know when you will fall

You need to be safe from the ground up. If you fall you will wish you had paid attention to that deatail.

blah blah blah wear your safetyharnessand so on. if you fall climbing with your climbing treestand how are you going to shoot a deer out of it[8D]J/K. theother item you want to make sure you have, which really sucks to forget, is a utility rope because climbing with your bow REALLY SUCKS.[:'(]

RE: Bowhunting out of climber
forgetting the bow pull does suck!! I keep one of thoes retractable ones right on my climber.
I strap in when I get to the place I want to be. I just make sure I have a good hold on the upper part and dont make a huge climb with the upper, should the bottom not lock in I can pull myself up. I have never had a problem climbing yet..... |
RE: Bowhunting out of climber
make sure you have the top and botom part of your stand tied together, ntohign worse than losing the bottom from 15 feet up. I also make sure that when i tie them off, I dont run the rope too long, makes climbing quieter becasuse of the shorter distance between the two parts and you dont have to reach too far shoudl the bottom let go from the tree.
