All depends. All about location.

You can get some land here in SC for $5 an acre. The avg. for the "good" locations is about $7-$10ac. If you want to get into some of the "best" counties, you may pay as high as $45/ac for land.

Is it worth it? Well thats something you have to answer yourself.

$10/acre in NE Missouri. That's probably about average around here. But it certainly isn't getting any cheaper.

i will write back in a hour or two. im calling a guy about a possible lease at 3 and will let ya know how much he has. at first he said 1500 bucks a person, but i told him that i have never heard it done by person, only by acres. so what does that mean, i cant bring anyone to hunt with me because IM the only person who put up the money, that doesnt seem right so im gonna see what he can do. i have heard 10-15 bucks/acrefor some good land is average. this guy has 103 acres ,so the mosttt i will, or can, pay is 1500 bucks for the year which would include all game. hopefully i can do some work for him and reduce the $. ill let ya know.

and yes, if you get a fair deal, i would say its defintely worth it. you can hunt how ya want without outside, (public land) interferance.

I would say better hunting land in north Florida is 6-8 dollars an acre.Of course, there isthousands of acres to lease also, which keeps the price down.

I pay $500 for the year to hunt 380 acres. There is one other hunter, my BIL. He has know the landowner since gradeschool. There are no booners around but I don't mind. I can kill 3 does during archery and 2 bucks during general and year round unlimited hogs. There are also ducks and doves. Well worth it in my opinion.

5 of us lease 621 acres in the Texas Hill country (lots of deer, turkey, and hogs) We will each pay $1500.00 per year. And we got a good deal on this place.

12 per acre is real good for Texas from what I hear.
