From I've learned recently that the southern deer are immuned for the most part, and one reason why all the PA deer that have died to it thus far are not....dunno.
I also learned it's not uncommon throughout the south but not in such numbers. I feel for the deer. I hear in the south/west corner of PA that the deer numbers are up over 1000 so far.

Talked with the IDNR over the weekend at the Hunting and Fishing days. Conservation told me that this is one of the worst out breaks that they have seen in ten years. They are afraid it is going to adversely effect the overall population to the point that it could change bag limits. They said further studies will be done to verify.
