Im really relieved that you found her though buddy. It could have ended up a lot worse than what it did. maybe its a lesson for next time? Im trying Lumenocks this year so i can be sure of where i hit the deer. Congrats on the Doe and i hope you can still eat the meat.

Ryan.

Well, the good thing is you found her. Congrats on the doe. Deflections can do some wierd things. My buddy shot a doe that whirled as he shot and on a downward 14 yard shot the arrow hit a rib and deflected up into her spine. I still have no idea how it happened, but I saw the deer first hand. Very strange.

After seeing the actuall pictue,I would say you just hit further back than you thought and she had a little more angle than you thought.

I was thinking she spun on you at first but I believeyour eyes just played tricks on you a little.

Way to stick it out and find her.

I have to agree with TFOX on this, just looks like she was slightly quartering to you. Ive had some crazy defflections from expandables, but that usualy happens on fairly steep angled shots. Good job on finding her, I know sometimes they look perfectly broadside but them suckers are tricky sometimes.

ORIGINAL: FRALEY

I just found a pic I took with my cell phone and its a lot farther back then what I stated above on the first pic. [:@]The exit wound is correct.

Follow through Tony, I can almost bet your peaking a bit. From the picture of where you shot her it looks like you were in front of her a bit. So even if she was standing broadside there would be a slight angle qrt towards.

But I am just guessing on what happen

Deer is dead, and in the freezer Just trying to learn and be better

EDIT:
Sorry just read TFOX post not tying to jump on you butter cup I agree with Tfox

It is no doubt the peaking factor I was trying to figure out a way to say it. My first shot yesterday since I shot the deer I did the same thing and that arrow went 8-10 inches to the left. 2nd shot I was aware ofthis and right on.
