Default Invisible Limbs???

I've read a few posts already about guys hitting limbs that they didn't see before the shot. Now before I ask this question I'm not calling anyone a liar or anything like that. Butthe thing that I don't understand is how could you not see the limb when you're picking your shot. I've taking shots before and hit limbs that I thought that I could shoot either under or over but I've never hit a limb that I didn't know was there befor I shot.

It's the little ones right before the deer that get you. I like hunting thick stuff and yes, I've missed some little limb before or maybe I should say I've hit them.

Sometimes your focused so hard on the animal and what it is doing and when it's going to present a shot you look right past the little branches.

Maybe they’re not accounting for the trajectory of the arrow and hitting branches above the line of sight?

Had one deflect what looked like a perfect dbl lung shot. Saw a ton of blood everywhere, turns out the arrow deflected into the hip and cutthe femoral artery, didn't go far,got lucky.

Watch all those limbs that you can see clearly start to disapear as the light starts to diminish.

It is quite possible to hit a limb in a lane that you thought was clear at daybreak and right before dark.

Where's Big John, he posting yet? I know he was having trouble but he's a big time P&Y stick shooter.[8D]

TFOX hit that one right on the head, in low light you might think you have a clear hole to shoot through and take the shot and your arrow plays ping pong all the way through the woods. Its funny early afternoon you can see a lane that looks like a wiker basket but in low light it looks clear.

Exactly. I think this probably has a lot to do with it
