crazy animals...makes ya wonder what they are thinking sometimes lol.

one spring gobbler season i found the king of the hill. one of the biggest birds i have ever seen. beard hung down and could see it between his legs in full strut. i was setup and had him at about 60yds in his strut zone. worked him for over an hour..no decoy...open pasture...should never worked right? well i had him inching closer and closer. sweet talkin him...hed come 5 yards and go back 3 or 4...but he kept doin that and i was about to feed him some lead at 30yds. hes about to come out of full strut...saftey off...then i see the herd of cows break up over the hill...they charged the bird and he went running like mad. closest i came to killin that bird that whole season....boy was a mad.
