Hey Everyone...thought I better check in and tell you how things went today.
I had to work til 3:30 this evening and when I got home I jumped in the shower and cleaned up with my scent-free soap and went outside where my hunting clothes were layed out and sprayed down with Scent Killer.I hurried and got dressed and headed out to the Ridge Field and got set up in my Blind.I waited and watched up until the very last minutes of legal shooting light and didn't see a thing all evening!
I plan on getting up very early sunday morning and will hunt on theback side of the sameRidge Field in the woods on the field edge over lookinga small Lake.Hopefully I will see some Deer in the morning feeding along the field and thenew logging road where I planted some turnips a few weeksago.Oh Yeah...when I got home and ate supper the Wife said she talked with herMom and she was told the neighbors on the surrounding Farms have found some dead Bucks in and near their ponds!Man I sure hopeall our deer'sdon't all get this disease they have been talking about from mosquito's and the stagnant water.I saw a young Buck last week on the neighbors property and my neighbor across the street from me saw another Buck in our field across from his house just this week.Hopefully some of the deer haven't been affected?

The Scent Lok and DDW worked it's magic though.......They never smelled my stinkin behind.......Maybe it's the chlorophyl I've been taking.... Yeah, and here's the bikes......Damn them!!!! But then again.....If I wouldn't have forgotten my tag in the first place......[&o]

I went out Bow Hunting this morning, didn't see any deer moving so after a few hours I climbed down and walked along the neighbors Lake to see if there were any dead deer laying around, didn't see anything so I headed back through the Ridge Field and was about 50 yards from the house when I noticed something light brown laying down the mowed path....walked down to check it out and it was a dead Fawn....man I hope it didn't die from this disease everyone has been talking about?

I posted this elsewhere, but I'll be going out this afternoon (Sunday)with my 12 year old. Hunting north of Kansas City on public land. I'm letting him do the hunting right now. We're working towards his first bow deer and I can probably focus better if I don't have my bow also. Also gives me the opportunity to do some filming if we happen to see anything. We'll keep you posted.
