In my opinion a "trophy" is a once in a life time buck, for where i hunt they only max out at about 120s so thats a trophy to me.

You know, I have no trophies. REally, I don't go out to shoot one. I never call any of the deer I shoot a trophy. I really don't have a trophy scale. I hunt. That's it. I enjoy the woods, the challenge and the time alone. I go for the purpose of killing a deer and having some meat. I pass on some and some I don't. Not because they don't measure up to some mythical "Trophy" minimum. Some days you do and some days you don't. I don't care if it's doe or a macho 10 point. It's the deer I intended to shoot and I did it. I have no trophys. I love every minute of every hunt and every kill, but I have no trophies.

But then just being in the woods seeing Gods gifts is a trophy beyond compare!
That's how I see it too.

That's interesting. I don't going looking for trophies either...thank goodness or I'd never kill a deer. However, every deer I've shot has been a trophy to me when it's all said and done. Proud of every one.

I have every set of antlers from every deer I have taken. Each one is a trophy and a memory that I will not forget. To me, each time I decide to harvest I am taking a trophy. Points and inches are nice to talk about, but trophies are in the eye of the beholder.

I aggree with this. When I took my safty course back in the day they told us that any animal harvested with a bow is a trophy, but I voted memorable hunt because looking at Gods gifts is a reward in itself.
