RE: Mechanicals Or Broadheads

If your bow is properly tuned and arrow selection is correct for the poundage you're shooting, you should be able to shoot almost any broadhead of choice.

If your fixed bh's group as well as your fp's, shooting expandableswill perform well.

Conversely, if your fixed bh's won't group with the fp's, you have no reason to shoot an expandable. Your arrows must fly correctly for proper penetration. Shooting an expandableout of a poorly tuned bow is themain reason expandables have a bad name.

Youowe it to the animal you're hunting and to yourself to insure your equipment is shooting properly. If you're not willing to take the time, you probably shouldn't be bowhunting.JMO

RE: Mechanicals Or Broadheads

When the Vortex first came out I used them What I didnt like was If I hit a rib with one of the blades it would kick and alot of the time end up coming out back in the gut area. I know I hit it at full broadside and still would kick one way or the other.I went back to the Muzzy's and have been using them sence. This year I am tring the Rockets and the Strikers. This weekend I will choose. Most likely will end up with a quiver full of Muzzy's.

I shoot both fixed and mechanicals, but prefer the fixed. Out to 40 yards, FT, Mechs, and FBHs all hit the same place.
