RE: For those with opener tomorrow.....

Well, since we had a tropical storm go through my woods yesterday and my stand is on the edge of a creek, my routine has been changed. I had everthing set up where I was going to get in my stand 30-45 minutes before daylight, but now, things have changed.

- Get up at 4:15 am
- Arrive at site at 4:45 am
- At tree location at 5:00 am (short walk also)
- If I am able to get to the stand, then I hunt, if not, I will have to re-locate to my other spot. (I will have to bring my other climber with me, in case I have to re-locate to my spot on higher ground.)
- If I must re-locate, then I arrive at other site at 5:20 am
- Set-up climber and ready to go at 5:40 am, roughly 30 minutes to sun-up.

Now that I have broken it down like that, I might be getting in the woods ealier, just in case.

Red Lion. About the same schedule. I plan to be in the treestand an hour and half before shooting time to avoid bumping anything in the setup I will be hunting in. Good luck!

You know bubba a lot of times when things don't go as planned tend to be the same day a hunter does well. I've heard so many stories like that where the last minutechange in the stand or circumstance led to a good kill on a hunt.Same with fishing...some of the biggest fish I've caught have been a messed up cast.
