I have a Legacy and I was wondering if it I can register a P&Y whitetail since the bow has a 70% letoff? Thanks

just checked the P&Y rules page online and this is what it says

A letoff of sixty-five (65) percent on a compound bow is the maximum allowed. <img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle>

You might check on which method is used to rate the letoff on the Legacy. They normally advertise a method that incorporates the histeresis(friction) effect on letoff. I believe P&Y uses a different method, so your P&Y letoff may be as much as 5% less than advertised, which may make the trophy P&Y elegible.

Yes, your legacy is legal for P&Y record book. Most bow companies measure letoff differently than P&Y because its more. If u get a bow that has a 70% letoff compared to 65%, its a selling point, even though its actually the same. So, in short, yes its legal, dont worry bout it.
