Ok fellas here is the deal, I am left hand dominant and I shoot rifles/shotguns left handed. But when I took up bowhunting I gotright handed bow and never looked back. It seems wierd even to me but it seems to work alright. Oh ya by the way I am left eye dominant also. Maybe I am just a freak of nature.[8D]I wonder if I should try a left handed bow just to see what would happen. Not that I want to switch or anything.

When I was little, I couldn't close my left eye while leaving my right eye open, so I had to shoot my rifle/shotgun left handed for years while I am naturally right handed. Now, I have trained myself to be able to close my left and keep my right eye open, so now I can shoot left or right handed and both feel very natural.

if you can consistantly hit what you aim at, and are comfortable with your form ,then leave well enough alone .
when its working ,you dont mess with a big leagers swing , so dont mess with a bowhunters form .

I am left eye dominant also, I have been shooting left handed since I was about 5. Everything else I do is right handed but shoot my bow. I would say you should give it a try, you never know how good you could be.

i guess i'm fortunate, while i was in the military i learned to shoot both left and right handed, given proper circumstance i can shoot as accurately left as i can right, but i prefer right... actually, when i got to the pistol/rifle ranges i practice left handed just in case it is required for a shot i may have to take... good to keep and edge when you can...

Bob, if you went to a shooting coach, he/she would try to convince you to shoot left handed....period.
Try it after the season. I can shoot both ways...I'm obviously better right handed because I'm right eye dominant as well as right handed....
You might be surprised once you get "oriented" to it.

Ya good luck finding a shooting coach in western Iowa. Except maybe Antler Eater. Shoot we have to drive 60 miles to find a pro shop that works on bows and sells them. But that is some good advice Rob and I will consider just that. Not gonna try to change now with bow season right around the corner.
