Default Okay Scent Loc again!!

SO from what I got out of the last post you should keep your scent loc seperate from your regular hunting clothes if you scent wafers. Well I just bought new base layers as mine were getting up there in age and all my other hunting clothes are in a tub with fresh earth wafers. I know I should dtore them seperatly but when I put my hunting clothes over top my base layers wont that fill the carbon with the fresh earth smell off my other clothes? Sorry Jeff that I broght this up again but im curious

Yes, everything under your carbon layer needs to be scent free. No fresh earth no fall blend etc. use this on your outer layers only if they aren't carbon based, i.e. boots hat etc. If you put scent on the outside of your carbon based clothing it will permeate the carbon during storage. Hope this helps.

My 3-d leafy suit has cover scent on but i will keep my base layers seperate from those. All the clothe i put over my base layers will have fresh earth cover scent on. Is that o.k.?

I'd stick to putting the cover scent on items not stored with the other clothes. The base layers will probably pick up some scent from the outside, but mostly from your body. I use cover scent like cedar on my hat and boots. If you aren't sure throw em in the dryer for a half hour on high.

hey thanks dr.andy I will keep them seperate. I was just curious as the clothes that i will put over top of them will smell like fresh earth. Did'nt know how much that would affect them.

I'm curious as to why you would choose to use scent wafers w/ scent lok? Kind of......polar opposite, isn't it?

I use the scent loc for my body and I guess the fresh earth for my outside layers. Just to be safe. I see what your saying but I still got to wear something over my base layers so I wish to keep them smelling like fresh earth. I have never been detected yet so I guess its working!
