RE: Incredible Game Cam Action Shot - not a debate on baiting thanks
ORIGINAL: GMMAT Not that it matters.....but is there any chance the arrow had already hit the opposite shoulder and was back out (instead of going IN)? |
RE: Incredible Game Cam Action Shot - not a debate on baiting thanks
Kelly:
First deer I shot last year (My contest buck)......I was nervous as a cat. When he left my set he had 2/3 of the arrow sticking out of his chest cavity. Never having shot a deer before.....I was worried I only got that much penetration. When I recovered the deer......He had a hole underneath his off-side leg (his left). The arrow had gone through his chest.....hit the off-side shoulder....and backed out SO FAST.....I thought I only saw the arrow go in 1/3 way. I would have sworn that's what happened. Anyways.....not about me....just sharing a similar experience. First thing I thought about....was my situation...and wondered if the arrow might be backing out in your situation (i.e. the photo). Mister....it's incredible.....that's all I know.;) |

Now that you've said it GMMAT, I actually thought that I didn't get that much penetration on the shot, but with the exit hole I just wrote it off to everything happening so quick. That is probably what happended.

Thats awesome kelly, i could care less if its under a feeder . I have this pic saved to my computer and its by far the coolestpic i haveever seen. BTW bigj if you have ever toted corn 200 yards into the woods and killed a deer almost gives you the same feeling of accomplishment. Let me tell you it sucks to make it that far and not kill a deer off of it all year.

I am with everyone else, that is a once in a life time photo. CONGRATS!!!
I have video footage of a doe at a local state park here in IL with a arrow sticking in her neck, dead center, and with equal amonts of arrow protruding out both sides, so basically the center of the arrow was in her neck and it didn't seem to bother her at the time anyway, she was eating acorns 10 feet from my car. Pretty cool, but NOTHING like your photo. |
