Do you hunt over bait?
In some areas it is perfectly legal, in other areas, it is against the law. Some folks think it is fine, while other think it isn’t ethical. What do you think? |

RE: Do you hunt over bait?
In Virginia, where I hunt, it is not illegal to hunt over an agricultural plot, but it is illegal to hunt over a corn pile, mineral lick, mechanical feeder, or the like.
So, in this case, hunting over a bean field, corn field, or under an oak tree isn't considered hunting over bait. |
RE: Do you hunt over bait?
Interesting poll. In some areas where I hunt that are very thickbait is a little insurance to make sure they stop in the very small shooting lanes.

RE: Do you hunt over bait?
Legal in KY. I use minerals & supp. feeding but havnt used a feeder in a while. We tend to have tresspassers on our property everynow and then so I would'nt be surpirsed to put up a feeder only to have it stolen the next week. [:'(]I usually thow out corn in the late season to help the deer out and do some selective herd harvesting of does.
